underwhelming devolution

Unlike most people I know, I liked Underworld. It had an interesting story, innovative fight scenes, uniquely dark lighting, and, of course, Kate in leather. In the sequel, Len Wiseman has managed to rehash the original, minus cool new weapons, interesting backstory, reasonably believable dialogue, and noirish urban sets, while adding a brief sex scene with Kate (minus leather), numerous plot holes, and excruciating amounts of explanatory dialogue. I never thought I'd say this, but you're better off with Blade: Trinity.
