dracula family murders
The Fearless Vampire Killers or pardon me but your teeth are in my neck (1967)
1 Star
Directed by Roman Polanski
Starring Roman Polanski, Sharon Tate
This vampire parody about a young man who rescues a beautiful girl from the clutches of an unholy cult, only to find her already dead, is destined to be remembered as the film that brought together Roman Polanski and Sharon Tate. It was the start of a romance, and later marriage, that would end in the bloody slaughter of Tate and their unborn son three years later at the hands of the Manson Family. The real-life historical context (followed in 1967 by the even more ominous Rosemary's Baby) lends most of the reason to watch, the movie itself being otherwise an uneven, crude attempt at camp, albeit with unusually good cinematography. Not as bad as "Manos" the Hands of Fate, but in the same league.
