This was my third and final attempt to watch this movie, having zoned out twice before soon as Bruno explains his crisscross murder scheme. In the past, I just found the setup too implausible to merit watching it through. I've finished it now, and I can now confirm that it was a waste of time. All of Hitchcock's movies are rooted in subjective hysteria, with hardly a trace of reality found, but this character Bruno Anthony — no one acts like that in the real world, wacko or no. And Guy Haines — no one is that gullible. BTW, this is currently #93 movie of all time according to IMDb, with an 8.3 rating based on 12,747 votes. I give it 3 out of 10.
