17-55 has arrived

UPS delivered my Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM at noon today. Been waiting for Flickr to unsuck before making this post, so I could include a picture of the new lens, but alas Flickr does suck.

Rant: Flickr just changed its status to "Gamma" from "Beta". Clearly just marketing speak, since in real software engineering there is no Gamma, Beta means zero known bugs, and Alpha means feature complete. Flickr staff is still adding new features (and bringing down the system in the process), so it's not properly speaking even Alpha yet.
