danny tanner says f*¢k
The Aristocrats is Amateur Night for pros. Intriguing concept, weak execution. Sloppy direction and lazy editing do not save an overlong analysis of a single joke. But, as with many an open mike night, there are moments. Highlights include Bob Saget, who, unlike Gilbert Gottfried, lives up to his buildup, and Sarah Silverman who, with a little help from the editors, perfectly illustrates the technique known as "the topper". In fact, the movie is cunningly* preceded by a preview for Silverman's new comedy film, Jesus is Magic — the preview being at least as funny as anything in the feature that followed. Sarah Silverman: big thumb up.
*if you giggled at that word, you might appreciate The Aristocrats.

FYI, Sarah's a big favorite of mine. Boyfriend is Jimmy Kimmel; older sister is a rabbi!
